Sean Trelford has revealed the first track from his upcoming EP, Ulcer, ‘Left Out’. At the core of his work is a haunting, beautifully delivered lyricism that delves into the feeling of being an outsider. Musically, the piece builds from a crystalline acoustic guitar accompaniment matched with psychedelic, Syd Barrett-esque sounds into a din of colourful noise and textures. He says this is “a song I wrote in June 2024 about feeling left out, I was in a social circle in school that spread nasty things about me and I felt very isolated and lonely. I made this song as a medicine for myself to deal with those feelings.” Ulcer is out on December 12th, 2025, via Adventure Recordings / Island. -Dan Peeke
